The new archeotourism board game on the Baltic Sea - "Game of Powers"

The very first archeotourism game on the Baltic Sea!

The new archeotourism board game "Game of Powers", as a part of the latest project ArchaeoBalt - Towards Innovative Green & Blue Tourism, was created. The game was published by the project partner - the Gdańsk Museum. The co-author is the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the University of Gdańsk. The co-publishers of the game are also: Bornholm Museum (Denmark), Aarhus University (Denmark), University of Lund (Sweden).

An archaeological and tourist game for 2-5 players aged over 8 was designed in four languages: English, Danish, Polish and Swedish.

The release of the game was co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg South Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020 program.

The copies of the game are free of charge, they cannot be sold and are distributed by institutions implementing the “Archaeobalt. Laying fixed foundations for innovative Archaeotourism - a new "green" Archaeoroute in the Southern Baltic Sea Region” project. Information on availability soon.

Discover the ports and trading points around the former Baltic Sea, trade with valuable items, complete various missions, compete with your friends. We give you all these elements in the board game "Game of Powers".

You become one of the merchants following the sea and inland trade routes across the Baltic Sea. In the game, you will visit former ports and settlements that are today interesting archaeological sites, e.g. Danish Sorte Muld, Swedish Uppakra and Polish Wisłoujście in Gdańsk and Owidz.
In the course of field research in these places, archaeologists discovered interesting items which you can admire in museums today. In our game, you can become their owner - for a moment, or forever. Remember that you can see every item in the game and place with your own eyes. We invite you to visit us!
