Dr. Magdalena Nowak and Dr. Piotr Derengowski as the participants of the first Polish session at the Annual Meeting of the Georgia Association of Historians in Valdosta State University, Georgia, USA
From February 3rd to 5th, 2023, the Annual Meeting of the Georgia Association of Historians was held at Valdosta State University, Georgia, USA. For the first time in the history of this association, the participants had the opportunity to listen to the entire panel whose participants were historians from Poland. Dr. Piotr Derengowski and Dr. Magdalena Nowak represented the Faculty of History, University of Gdańsk, Dr. Paulina Napierała – Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora of the Jagiellonian University, Dr. Sebastian Bartos – Department of History, Valdosta State University. Participants presented their papers under the unfailing guidance of Dr. John P. Dunn from the Department of History, VSU. The session attracted the great interest and a lively discussion followed the papers. This important scholarly event is another in a series of many that have recently contributed to deepening cooperation between the Department of History, Valdosta State University and the Faculty of History, University of Gdańsk.
