Travel info – the Faculty of History UG

Gdańsk is a major tourist city offering hundreds of accommodation options, with up-to-date information available online. Please check the tourist information portal (available in English, German, and Polish).

The Faculty of History is located 850 meters (11-minute walk) from the Przymorze-Uniwersytet SKM station (Fast Urban Railway), which provides frequent, fast, and reliable connections to the center of Gdańsk, as well as to Gdynia and Sopot (together they make up the Tricity). Thanks to the SKM, guests can choose accommodations farther from the venue while still enjoying short travel times. Additionally, multiple tram and bus lines stop right next to the venue (“Uniwersytet Gdański 01” and “02” for trams, “03” and “04” for buses).

The campus is situated just 9 km from Gdańsk Airport (about 20 minutes by car or less than an hour by public transport). The Przymorze-Uniwersytet SKM station is less than 2 km from the Gdańsk-Oliwa long-distance railway station (2 minutes by SKM or 5 minutes by car), which connects Gdańsk to other cities with airports. Traveling from airports in Warsaw or Poznań to Gdańsk takes approximately 4 hours.

Ferry lines also connect Gdańsk and Gdynia with Karlskrona and Nynäshamn in Sweden.
